Hi,

I'm wondering if there are any sponsors who are providing discounts on their products (torches, thermals, etc.) for entrants in this event. If so, how do we claim the discount?

Is the reflective vest required to be worn at all times, or only after dark? Are reflective belts a suitable alternative, or must it be a vest? (I have two 10 cm wide belts which can be strapped around my waist and my pack.)

It appears from the rules, that a headtorch must be carried at all times. Is this the case, or do we only need to carry it after dark? Perhaps the requirement can be to carry a small torch all the time, and the headtorch after dark.

I know the reasons for not providing a detailed course description so far, but I ask again for a detailed course description allowing us to plan our strategy, plan our rests, plan our support crew, plan our drop bags and study the maps. People are training on the course anyway, surely by providing detailed maps you show us exactly where the private property is, and thus we are able to ensure we avoid it.

Hi Ben,

I think I have answered most of your questions in the other posts so please have a browse at the other discussion threads.  Re the vest, the council have now required everyone to wear a reflective vest. Reflective bands are no longer sufficient.  You only have to wear the vests at night and only at the following locations:
Megalong Valley Road
Streets through Katoomba
Tableland Road and Hordern Road from Queen Victoria Hospital
the streets through Luera taking you to the finish.
