Hi guys,

Good call!  DK will be around during most if not all of registration on the Friday.  He will be signing stuff and there for a chat.  Great idea to see if he can say a few words at the start.  We'll get him up to the HQ room at The Fairmont when he finishes to type in his thoughts on the race on the live website.  Also he will be at the presentations on the Sunday.

Cheers,
Tom

I plan on giving him a few tips over my shoulder throughout the race. Has he been told to bring his drop-bear helmet?

Perhaps the briefing should have been expanded to included instructions on what to do if international competitors meet some of Australia's more dangerous creatures such as the drop bear and bunyip. Almost the whole field at one stage will be travelling alone at night in the bush.
