Hi organisers!

I'm coming over from New Zeland forthe race and am so looking forward to the race, bring it on.

Now ... I will be a slowby, possibly one of the last few in. I have done races recently where the good sustaining supplies that the organisers provide have all been hungussed by the time I get to the checkpoint. Its pretty off considering it is perhaps the slow and tired who need them most (like me :-)

Will there still be hot water, soup, sausage sizzles for the tail enders ... please say yes.

Many thanks

Blair, i'm with you on that one! i will also be back of the pack, and am hoping there will be food/sustenence available still to re-charge my poor little body as it collapses into another checkpoint, especially energy drinks/gels etc.
No idea how well stocked it is, never done the race before.
See you on the 16th.

Just to be safe, I'm going to have extra food in my drop bags as well as from support crew at the later CPs. If I plan for the worst then anything better will be welcome :-).

Cheers,

Last year the Cp's where still stock well for the back of the pack runners, like me! CP5 I went through at 10pm and there was plenty of supplies. I never count on anything and will be packing what I need tho. Its part of the appeal of this race that it so well organised that I'm having another run this year. Bring it on...

Hey guys,

We won't run out of food options for you.  But if you come into CP4 at Katoomba Oval and there is no food left, you just need to phone me and I will personally meet you at Echo Point (2km down the track) with a take away hamburger.  But it is definitely good to bring some of your favourite race foods in your drop bags.

Thanks for the great feedback Grant!

Cheers,
Tom

Hi to all of you who have replied, appreciate the good input, and am REALLY looking forward to that burger at echo point Tom. Bacon and Egg burger with some wedges would be perfect. You may as well take that as a pre-order, because I will be ringing and pretending there is no food even if there is.

Anyway I have trained hard in the 3 weeks since I posted this question, and am now expecting to be one of the front runners so it doesn't matter anymore.
