Tom and Alina,

cant wait for the event again this year, been training hard and cant wait to get on the start line in those beautiful mountains.

When training with a few of the entered runners over the last few weeks the topic of the t shirt given away last year came up. One suggestion is for AROC and North Face to offer a better quality technical gear similar to what is available at Six Foot Track etc. Running shirts, adventure sport tops all get made by the North Face and with a few sponsor logos and a small contribution by the runners I think you would get a better response.

Just a thought, but I know quite a few who would get more use from their equipment if it was available to purchase at registration and was reusable after the event. The number of six foot track gear I see all year round demonstrates the need for gear to be technical...........

See you in a few weeks and I promise to bring a bigger cheer squad than last years mob!

Tom

Great suggestion! i personally rather spend a bit of money on commemorative gear that can be re-used. Six Foot adventure tops are great and getting plenty of use.

see you in a few weeks

Hey Marcus,

Fantastic news about the support crew being bigger than last year!

That is a great idea about having some technical running gear for sale.  I have spoken with The North Face guys about this and we are going to look at doing this for next year as a pre-order thing.  Thanks for giving us the idea.

There have been quite a few posts that disappeared from this forum last night.  They were all up yesterday and I don't know what happened but I have spoken to the web guys who run this site and they are looking into it.  I'll wait before re-typing all my replies.

One thing that went missing last night was an update I posted about the new Lilians Bridge construction.  Thanks to The Blue Mountains National Parks guys, the main beams which span the canyon successfully got lifted in yesterday (Wednesday 23rd April) by helicopter.  It must have been quite a site!  There is a weeks work to assemble the decking and hand rails.  So the good news is it should be well and truly ready to use by the 2009 North Face 100.

Look forward to seeing you and the back up team soon.

Cheers,
Tom
