Hi Ed and All,

Registrations for 2012 event open online via this website on 1st December 2011.  The website updates have been done but not made live yet.  I am estimating the updates will be live before the end of next week.

Cheers,

Tom

Hi,

Can anyone tell me how quickly this races usually fills up?

Do you need to be online in minutes (as with Ironman racing in Australia at the moment) or are you likely to have  a few days or weeks?

Hi Martin,

Last year I got one of the last entries on the 10th of December, I'll be ready to go as soon as they open this year though.  Already got the plane and accommodation booked so don't want to miss out on the entry!

Last year we were on the computer at 1000 on Dec 1st and got nos 125/6.  Best to be on the safe side.  Will be on the edge of seats again this year, increase in entry fee or not.  This event is too good to miss out on.

Heaps of people will pull out due to injury or insufficient training as the date gets closer.

I missed out on entry last year but kept training and bought an entry of an injured runner sometime in feb.

Having said that, I'll be ready to go at 10am this year.

Goodluck!

Some discussion forming around the local favourites over here;

Also a heap of reviews for backpacks and gear to come along with live race tracking.
