I see the weather report (that I found) has the Frost Risk rated as 'High'. Predicted temps between 1c and 12c. That's not so good for us slower Queenslanders and those used to warm weather. Also feel for my support crew who will be waiting for me through to Sunday morning. I'll just have to suck it up and ru harder so we get home sooner. Lots of R&R this week and check after check after check of my gear. See you all soon.

I think "frosty" just morphed into "freezing"!! The temps don't look too extreme but with a combination of the suggested lows and maximum wind we'll be looking at well below freezing windchill......I wonder if the fleece and pants are a "wet weather" or "cold weather" item?  Saturday 7am can't come soon enough!!

The temperatures forecast so far are around the same as last year's (which was the best the TNF100 at the Blue Mts had so far).
It would just get really ugly if it rained - it's very hard to keep the body temperature being wet.

c'mon guys, this race is meant to be a test. its more than just a run. and if it is the toughest conditions ever and we live to tell the tail then good on us....
I am from North QLD...its still shorts and T shirt stuff here.
Stay dry and stay warm. Layer with good quality. breathable or you will sweat and then get cold.
Saturday will come soon enough, We better check our gear again !!

It will be a test Sam, even in perfect conditions. The frost in the morning is a good thing because it generally will bring calm fine conditions for the day, even hot! If it rains all day and is cold or snowing i'll still finish. Prepared for everything.
