Hello all, I have set up a page on Facebook called 'The UNOFFICIAL Australian North Face 100'.

There is an official North Face 100 page on FB for the Asia Pacific region but personally I found it a little limited. Sad

I have set this page up to merely allow people to share their own photos, videos, ideas, thoughts, queries and questions of the 100.

I know too that people's opinions of FB differ, some people hate it, some people love it but what it does allow is people to get know each other perhaps a little better and be able to put a name to a face. For instance, there are a lot of people on this forum who have helped me a LOT and given me some great advice, I think it would be great to able to recognise these people on the day and say 'hi and good luck'.
Of course and naturally it is completely voluntary, nobody is forced to join the page.

In regards to the page, it is the first one I've done, and currently I have no content.....that is where YOU come in Cheesy
I plan to put up a few pics of where I train and a link to my Garmin GPS page which shows where I've been and training and what not.

If the North Face ask me to take it down for whatever reason I will do so. I sincerely hope they don't ask me as I believe that it will (hopefully) inspire people and be of great benefit......I could also be wrong and it could crash and burn!!! lol Cheesy ....tho I hope it doesn't!

It is not for profit and I am gaining nothing from it financially in anyway. It may even help to promote the event.

I guess all I ask is for you to help me fill the page with content.....if you so wish! Smiley

Couldn't agree more Jaci, the FB page was a great source of both information and affirmation that I was on the right track. Plus this forum has just been amazing, has helped me so, so much.

Thanks all for a wonderful, life enhancing event and the toughest experience of my life!

Thanks to the organisers Tom, Anik and the full North Face 100 Team.  What an experience; one that I'll never forget.  Well not until next year when it will start all over again.  Yes, we'll be back to fight the demons and chop at least 6 hours off our time.  Also, many thanks to Regan and our Unofficial Facebook Family.  The site is the greatest since it is really informal but informative, with top trail runners and ultramarathoners like Andy giving advice to us Newbies - absolutely invaluable.  And wonderful people too; on FB and in the flesh.  I'm honoured and humble to be part of it all.  Thanks Everyone.  Smiley)
