Every long event that I do the recovery seems a little easier. I'm not saying I'm fine, the legs were worse on Monday morning than on Sunday, but a short, easy run on Monday night really helped. And a lot of self massage has helped too. We're scheduled to do hills tonight, but I think it's more likely to be a short easy run with a pub stop. I kinda hope the crazy people don't talk me into doing more!

This Saturdays run details have been posted. You can get to the site by clicking

http://blog.buymax.com.au/blog/groups/the-north-face-100/

or download the docs package directly from

http://blog.buymax.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/group-documents/1/1300755808-TrainingRun2-CP2-CP3.zip

This contains the course description and the 3 maps we'll need. Please let me know if you are coming, there are some logistical challenges with this one- like how to get from the finish back to our cars etc.

Let me know if you have any questions

Sorry for the late notice everyone, this weekends run will be on SUNDAY, starting at 7.30am. Meeting at Narrow Neck Lookout, Cliff Drive, Katoomba and finishing at Old Ford Reserve.

http://bit.ly/eo03Hs

Please contact me on 04111 7 9999 if you are coming. At this stage looks like there will be no drinks stop, so please bring enough gear to be self sufficient. There is probably water at Dunphy's campground which we will hit about 20km in. We should be able to transport you back to the start, but please contact me if you think you'll need a ride.

Thanks

Adam

PS Can't make it? You are always welcome to do the run anytime you like, the maps are on the links above!

I've posted details for this weekends training run, and I've used the new up to date maps provided by AROC Sport. I haven't been able to cut and paste the course description to match our desired route, if anyone can help with that please let me know. Here's the problem- we want to go
Start-Leura Creek-CP5-Finish
but I can't figure out where to cut the Course Description of start-CP1 and paste in the Course Description of CP4-CP5. Yes I mean the Leura Creek bit!

Download here-

We will start at 7.30am Saturday somewhere near the start- does anyone know if we can park inside the Fairmont car park? There will be no support for this run. Distance apx 38km.

let me know if anyone has questions

OK the amended course description for Saturday is now up at

http://blog.buymax.com.au/blog/wp-content/uploads/group-documents/1/1301489530-Course_descriptions_Training_02April.doc

thanks to Jeff, Bluebear and Roger Crawford who all submitted versions. And in a mapping miracle, they all matched!

See you on the trails

Hey everyone, this weeks run is up and available at

http://blog.buymax.com.au/blog/groups/the-north-face-100/home/

There are a few extra options we can do to max out the km so let me know if you're keen. Also the start time for this one has been set at midday, but I could be easily convinced to start early and see my family this weekend...... opinions please!
