I’m moving to Melbourne. Anyone out there who wants to train long runs or share knowledge of hill places where to train.

If you want hills and steps you can't go past the Dandenongs. Park in the Ferntree Gully car park, run/walk up the thousand steps and then the world's your oyster. There's tracks all over the place up there with some unforgiving ascent.

check out this link for more info -

If you want to get away from the hills, beach road is always a nice flat run. Very scenic when you go along the cliffs from Sandringham.

Hey Jose,

let me know how you go.  I'm moving down mid March and will definitely be keen for a training partner.

I've spent some time in the Dandenongs - awesome.

Also check out previous Oxfam Trailwalker maps and aura.asn.au for track notes of races aroun Melb (e.g. YouYangs, Warburton, Ottways etc.).  Finally, the rail trail out to Warburton would be a fair run
