Accommodation
«

I know this is early but I suspect that the race will fill up really quickly and accommodation may become a real issue. I was hoping if someone who competed last year also stayed at the York resort could give an update on the hotel and if or how the place has improved. I am keen to get all the little things settled so I can concentrate on my training.

I stayed there last year and thought it was fine. A bit pricey, but you don't mind that when you finish in the middle of the night.

I stayed at what i think was called 'Leura Gardens' - its the big apartment block on the right as you head into Leura. Was clean, tidy, quiet - had a kitchenette.... And was pretty cheap too. Its all of about 2k from the start/fin area, so pretty handy.

Free camping at Mt York, pitch a tent and get a fire going. It's really nice there.
Can anyone who has camped there before let me know if its absolutely packed there on race weekend?
