Help me~! :(

Hi, everyone.
My name is Sawaki Ishii, from Japan. (for studying English)
I've been in Australia for almost 3months.
I live in Sydney now. I've never been to other cities....
So I have no idea for getting the race site
I can't even find the address there on the website.

I am going to  book airplane ticket (14th-17th) tonight.
Does anyone have some advice, please please let me know about that.

-How to get the race site from the airport or the city
-if there are place to stay near the race site

I don't have any jogging friends here, I feel so lonely for this race.
I hope I can make many friends there.

Hi Sawaki,

i would definitely check out trains from Central Station in Sydney to Katoomba.  Katoomba is only 102km away from Sydney so there is no need to book flights.

If you copy and paste the above link and then type in the trip planner from Central Station to Katoomba you should be able to find a train.  Train only takes about 2hrs to get from Sydney to Katoomba.

Hi Sawaki Ishii.
I Live in the Blue mountains where the race is on. It is about 2hr train trip from Sydney.

If you are interested you can come and stay at my house before and after the race. I can introduce you to some other local runners also. They are surprisingly nice.

Hi Sawaki,
The race starts and finishes actually in Leura, which is one train station before Katoomba. Just get a train to Leura and once you are there, you need to find the Fairmont Resort, it seems you've already found a few friends to direct you there. Here's a map...
