Tarros Ladders - question for organisers
«

Have any plans been put in place to avoid a repeat of the congestion at the Tarros ladders? I have heard a whisper that there may be an alternate route down but would love to have this confirmed by someone in the know!
Thanks,
Liz

In Race Information, check "The Course" Point 2.

I had a look last Saturday and it's mainly an issue of track marking/clearing rather than any physical barrier via Duncan's Pass. There's a faint trail to the left when you get near the top of Taro's Ladders which traverses along until the cliff below stops. Didn't go down, but it looked a bit bushy below. Curious that more people don't use it - people must freak going up/down the spikes with heavy backpacks!
