Looking to transfer my Entry

Hey its john here!  I've sent a request to the organisers asking them to let me know what I do to ensure that a transfer from me to someone else works.  I havent heared back, and I want to make sure that someone who transfers money to me actulaly gets the entry.  I also didnt expect so many replies as in Pick Me Pick Me.  I have no real access to mail at the moment so I  promise to get an answer to the first in best dressed person tomorrow.

I thing it's a great idea to maintain a list of 'next in line' entries. I just hope we all are lucky enough to get a start. Keep keen and keep training. Maybe the organisers of this great event will take mercy on us and slip us all in, fingers crossed.

I to am unable to run this year, so happy to transfer my entry to the next person on the wait list, not sure whether that is Paul or Stuart. I will check up here tomorrow to see what the story is and get in contact with the rightful person, so leave up an email.

Thanks Mark.  This list is great.  As each person gets an entry, the next person in line should pick it up.  Not to quibble, but I think I am in front of Ana.  My original reply was #10 (with my own post before that at 10:55 on Sunday night).  If you disagree Ana, just let me know.  I'm not looking for any negaive karma here!  Cheers all.

I think this list is hard to self manage as I have list a transfer needed on a seperate blog, rather than under this blog which is title "looking to transfer my entry" my intial blog was 1:08pm on the 22/3 which would move me up the list, maybe a new blog titled the waiting list or are you looking to off load your entry.

For everyones information this is how to actually transfer an entry (From the organiser)

1. Find someone injured and willing to give up their spot in the race.  You can use running forums and even The North Face 100 forum (to use The TNF100 forum you need to create a runner profile first on the TNF100 site)

2. You need to create an AROC sport login if you don't already have one by going to the following link:  http://myprofile.arocsport.net/myprofile/createaccount.aspx

3. Send me an email with the name of the person you are taking the entry from and copy them on your email so I can see that it is legitimate by replying to all so that they also confirm with me.

4. In our database I will remove that person and put you into the race.  You need to arrange to pay that person directly for their entry.

5. There is no fee to do the transfer right up until the entry closing date shown on the website (COB Friday 30th April 2010).  Any transfers done after this date must be done at the event registration on Friday 14th May 2010 and will incur a $30 administration fee.  The provided race number will have the original person's name on it so we will black the name out.  However you will appear correctly in the results.

6. The list of entrants on the website will not be updated to reflect the changes until after the 30th of April.  We do not have direct control over the website as it is run by a professional web company.  This means that The North Face get charged for every website change made.  So you should not expect to see your name on the list until the week after the 30th of April.  Instead, please take the transfer as completed once we have confirmed the transfer with you
