Given recent events & press, will the event "hub" and sponsor still be the York Fairmont Resort?

The York Fairmont Resort is again the location for the event hub and a sponsor of the event.  Despite all the negative press around the time of the last event the Resort did a fantastic job hosting The North Face 100.  The pasta night was yummy, the service to all the runners and the organisers was just fantastic.  We are really pleased to have them on board again for next years event.

I agree with Alina,

They did a fine job last year.
And it is all over 12 months old so I don't think it will be a problem again.

I agree with the comments too - despite the "negative" press, the resort did really well in hosting the event. All ran smoothly and had some nice warm common rooms to recover post race!

I was thinking of booking here since it would be very convenient but had a quick look on Tripadvisor.com - 49 reviews and all of them shocking. I just couldn't take the risk, given that they are not the cheapest in the area, so have booked into a nearby B&B instead. If in doubt, read the reviews on Tripadvisor.com.
