Are there any requirements to register for this race?

Hi guys,

I’m hoping to give this a go next year and start my training, but I can’t seem to find any details on if there are any requirements on registering for this race? i.e: do I need to have completed a 100km race before? Or should I have completed an ultra marathon before?

If not and for first time runner out there, do you guys recommend any resources on training and preparing for this race?

Hi Mark,

There are no requirements for entering other than the dollars. Have you done much running?. The physical demand of 100km is one thing the mental challenge is certainly another. If you look on the comrades run web site they have a great beginers program for their 89km event which would be a good start for anyone with minimal experience.

Thanks Mike.. i will have a look at the site you mentioned.

I have not run more than marathon distance and I can imagine the mental strain on running 100km. But i hope to start training now which should leave me around 6 months of training to build up the physical and mental strength.

I'm so looking forward to this!
